About Us: Promote financial independence in Gaza and Palestine using Bitcoin and Blockchain
Bitcoin Gaza is a project founded by a computer science student who was born and raised in Gaza. As many of my peers, I had to face the difficulties of studying in a region impacted by political conflicts. Due to the challenging circumstances in Gaza I was not able to finish my studies, but my passion for technology never diminished.
In 2013, I was introduced to Bitcoin. From that moment on, I understood its potential for transforming the future financial independence of Palestinians. The Bitcoin community has grown steadily in Gaza and Palestine over the years. This is due to the need for economic liberty. The traditional banking system in Gaza is not only unreliable, but also often inaccessible because of corruption and conflict. The constant wars and financial instabilities have led to Palestinians looking for alternatives. Bitcoin is one of those lifelines.
BitcoinGaza.com believes that cryptocurrency offers more than a way to invest; it’s a means to financial independence to people with limited access to the global financial system. Bitcoin is an alternative to the government or intermediaries in Gaza where there is little trust in banks and corruption is rampant. It has become an essential tool for many to survive and build a better tomorrow.
